The right position
I can be a very energetic person if the project I am working on interests me. The types of people I work best with are those who have similar interests and values as me. I like to take charge and lead, but I do so by being a conduit for my peers' ideas. With my prior experience with leading a group I believe I would find a lot of success working as a manager for a marketing firm. I would love to do marketing for movie producers like Universal Studios or Warner Brothers. I find myself drawn to the entertainment field as an entertainer myself and hope that I can find a position within one of these companies so I can give it a try.

My Story
As I have mentioned in my resume as well as in my blog post, I participated in my high school's marching band and was dedicated enough to try out for section leader. When I found out I got the position I was so excited to start leading, but before we met with our section, the band director had all the section leaders signed up for a leadership training camp. The training took place over a weekend and we stayed overnight learning about what it means to be a leader. We did this through various lectures where managers and other leaders told us about their experiences and how they used leadership tactics to help them make it so far. Additionally, we did many different exercises to simulate conflict or injury so we could learn how to manage issues like that. These situations helped me feel more confident when it came to a confrontation which is something I struggled with. I felt like this training helped me become a more confident person which helps my leadership skills because I have the confidence to make difficult decisions and readiness to take responsibility for whatever outcome, good or bad.
